Goal Highlights
Since our video roots existed in underwater video production, its no surprise that we are interested in sports video. One evening we setup a camera in the local ice rink to try our hand at shooting ice hockey. There was an adult league game and it was simply an experiment for us. Well, within a couple of minutes of setting up the camera, and before the game even started, we were approach about shooting the local MJHL team for live webcasts on FastHockey.com. The rest, as they say, is history. We spent the 2008-09 & 2009-10 seasons webcasting the home games of what turned out to be the MJHL Florida Division Champion Ice Dogs. During the second season we were joined by Greg Hallaman. Greg was a career sports broadcaster with 25 years doing radio play by play for the Detroit Redwings New York franchise. You can read Greg's bio in our about us section. With all of the footage we had collected we began offering marketing websites to players looking to move on to college hockey. This video is one of the highlight reels produced for an Ice Dogs player website.
Shark Attraction
(This video starts out black for a reason... There is nothing wrong with it... Just stay with it... You'll be glad you did)
The real purpose of our trip to Queensland Australia, featured in the Travel Portfolio Videos, was to dive and video the Great Barrier Reef for DVDiveGuide. One of the 40-50 dives we conducted that week was for a shark feeding adventure held at Osprey Reef, approximately 110 miles off the coast of Australia. No cage, no net, no barrier what so ever between us and the sharks. We would never have believed you would be able to get us to do it. But when the time came you couldn't have stopped us. It is one of my most valued memories of all of the diving I have done around the world. This video shows you what we experienced.
Media Rapids will begin offering services in the New York and Connecticut markets this fall. Initially, only training services will be offered in the area. Other services will be made available in 2011.
